Domaine William Fèvre receives “High Environmental Value” certification

Domaine William Fèvre has just obtained “High Environmental Value” (HVE) status, the highest level of environmental certification.
This certification uses performance indicators to identify and promote domaines which practice environmentally-friendly growing. The domaine gave priority to Option A, based on the assessment of a number of themed performance indicators such as “biodiversity”, “plant health strategy”, and”fertilizer management” .

The achievement of this certification recompenses a practice which has been in place since the Domaine was acquired in 1998. Since 2006 two-thirds of the domaine have been grown organically, with biodynamic methods in use since 2010. According to Didier Séguier, director and cellar master, this voluntary practice is a necessity: “Sensitive to environmental issues, we have been working this way for almost 10 years now, for the good of the vineyards, consumers and our employees who work in the vineyards. “
