Bee hives to help bio-diversity

At this time of year, while the queen lays her eggs, some of the bees leave the hive to seek food from nearby flowering plants and elderberry bushes.

Although the hives have only recently been set up on the edge of our Les Clos grand cru vineyard, the swarms seem to be growing well, thanks to the replanting of hedges, grass cover around the edges of the vineyard, and careful control of vineyard treatments.
